Visiting Ontario

I am in Toronto and headed out to Oshawa on Tuesday to see the show.  Thanks to Linda, Sonya and Jason!  It looks wonderful.

I am very pleased that I will be able to attend the opening for 'The Office of Identity Collection' on Friday September 7th, 2012.  I hope that I will see all of the project participants at the gallery!

Exhibition Opens September 1st

I'm finished all the paintings for the show and I've been working on the video content.  Here are a couple of the final paintings!

Flurry of painting

Well April has pasted in a flurry of painting.  Here are some images from my small tribute to Parkwood.  So many of you talked with such attachment about the site that I thought it would work well as a little series within the series.

Secrets of the painters studio

Ok so I was working on my latest painting and it got a little covered up.  So I thought that I would post the underpainting and the finished work.  I transfer the underpainting on to the surface of the painting before I start working.

I'm starting to post more paintings.  It's always a little disappointing for me because the camera doesn't capture the collage layer under the paint, I guess everyone will just have to come to the exhibition for that!

Things have been going well in the studio, so I thought it was time to post some pics!  These images are based on stories from Leone, Philip, Linda, Arthur and a few misc. comments about the Lake front.

Long time between posts

My thanks to everyone for giving me so much good material to go through.  Now that I have sorted the bulk of the material, I'm heading into the studio to start painting.  I'm also going to try to update this blog on a semi-regular basis.
I will be using peoples personal stories for the exhibition and also the many impressions that participants had of Oshawa.
I have been finding some great on-line resources to combine with the images and information that I collected in Oshawa.
